One of My Song's From The Seventies...

I was gonna be
the world's best musician -
chase away fears with a song...
My songs were gonna be
one in a million;
I'd fight to keep my music strong...
... and what could go wrong? What could go wrong...
Oh Oh Oh my song,
where have you gone?
Why couldn't I be the one to make it?
Tell me who's to blame;
'cause it's a cryin' shame,
when you're as good as me
but no one can ever see it...
Yes, I was gonna be
the world's best musician -
and chase away fears with a song...
... and what could go wrong -
what could go wrong?

Somehow I missed out on the music part of the weekend - watched a ton of old b&w movies... the actual "move" itself was good and meaniful for both mother and child... I think that I purposely didn't listen to my Manilow collection because of 2 reasons - 1) I had cried for the first 15 - 20 miles of my lonely drive back home; and, 2) I know me, and I know that once I use the music to purge myself of some form of grief that I then move on (which is a good thing) - it's just that I'm not so eager to move on just yet... don't know if that makes sense, but, it is the process... so my spirits are "okay"; I decided that I'm not sad, but I do have a longing for my child - left her in good hands though... Thanks so much for asking!!! Take care - T

That is a hard thing to do, Tehry. I have been through it. You take the week-end to work through the separation but while you do think of all the wonderful times your daughter is getting ready to have. I know she must be a special young lady to have a Mom like you.

Hello, Everyone- I take my daughter off to college this weekend and return to an empty house (except for the 3 fish, 2 dogs, and that 25 pound cat)... so, guess what I'll be doing this weekend??? Yes, that's right - playing every Manilow CD I own and cryin' my eyes out! MFTH!!!

I am from Southwest Michigan. I used to print off a little mimeographed newsletter in the days of "Barry's Buddies" - I think it must have been the early '80's; around the time of the first ever BMFC Convention... I remember I was traumatized because I had contributed a little to the covention; some ideas or something, and then at the last minute my employer reversed herself and wouldn't give me the time off to attend - the first day/night of the convention, I quit my job - still didn't go to the convention, but I remember stewing while I was at work, about the unfairness of the situation, and I finally just walked off the job - told my boss she was un-just or something... and I just left... that night I ended my career in the frozen pizza industry... slicing pepperoni for a living lost it's appeal (and I promptly returned to college the next fall!)... lesson learned... when music fills the heart, that does mean something... Just for fun... if you put in the DVD of the Copacabana movie, and you enlarge/magnify the screen by 2x or 4x - what a treat... it makes the movie kinda like an "art" film - my daughter and I had an absolute BLAST watching Copa like this - and this was after we had just finished watching it normal size!!! TOO much fun! Take care - T
