oops....i made a booboo!!! LOL I just read my post again from June, 2009. I had a typo.....i meant 37lbs not 137lbs. oops!!! I did not catch that when I originally typed that I am so embarrassed. Sorry for the typo.

But actually now, in total I have lost 40lbs.

Barry you Rocked the "Capital Fourth" tonight! You looked amazing, and so excited to be there. I loved "Let Freedom Ring" with the fireworks, it brought chills and tears. Everytime I see you it reminds me why I have been a fan and admirer all these years, you captured my heart and my love. You have a wonderful 4th...thank you for being you my friend.

Hey guys! New here! I've been trying to lose wieght too! I started walking on the bike trail and plus, I've started working with wieghts. I have a wieght set I bought at Aldi's a while ago. It comes with a chart on how to do the exercises and such. Plus, I bought a walking set from there too. I have to get money to get my bike fixed, then I can ride on the trail. I figured I better use it ! It's next to an interstate highway, but it's a trail! There's woods on the other side of it. I eat chicken and vegetables. And for breakfast I have bagles or eggs with peppers and onions and cheese. Yum! I try to eat alot of fruits and veggies. Latley I've slipped - The last two days that darn ice cream man has been driving by and I've had two of those strawberry shortcake bars - OMG they are sooo good and addicting! And they are so darn expensive!!! My friend will pound me if she found out I've been doing this! Aside from that, I've lost some wieght. I have to . Because I have to have a physical in July. AUGH!!! I have to go to the dentist too because one of my tooth is bad. I have to lose weight. There's no way around it. I am glad this group is here. I could use the support. :-)

Hi, Sharon! I was reading your comment. This diet that I'm on counting carbs really works I was weighing in at 209 1/4 lbs last October. I now weigh 180.1 lbs. It's fantastic. I walk a mile at the gym 2 times a week now and I'm eating most everything I want in very small portions. Less the sugar of course because of my diabetes. Cut out all the soda and lowered the fruit intake. I take potassium pills because all that fruit for me just turns to sugar and my liver won't take that well. Anyway it's working........How are you doing.? Are you my friend on Manispace come over and chat sometime.

Wow, Amy! I've lost another 2 lbs so total that is 29 lbs. since October 2008. It's not much but something. I have gone on this counting carb diet with my diabetes II and Metmorphin. It sure isn't the way to lose I'm hungary all the time. But, I learned something I didn't know about my health and I can't stop eating once I start. I have the remedy for that now that I know about this food addiction. I stop when I've counted to 3 carb servings and that is that. Because I was hungary all the time I couldn't distinguish when to quit. Now I know when to quit. The exercise walking helps alot too.

Hi all, sorry i havent been up here much. I have to share this.... I have lost a total of 137 lbs just exercising and watching what I eat. I now even have a boyfriend since new years eve. this is what losing weight has done for me it has built up my confidence.

I just found this group and I would love to join because it totally fits with what I am trying to do for myself - get healthier! I am on a low carb diet and walking several miles a day and it's starting to really show. It's a tough road, but I know that I can do it as long as I work very hard and stick with it.

Hey, guess what! I lost 23 lbs in total course that was over a course of time but, I'm doing so much better. They diagnosed me with diabetes II. So I have gone on this really low carb diet and exercising at the gym. It's fantastic. My pants are falling down time to get new clothes. I can't wait to see Barry in June when Amy and I go to the Hilton. Vegas! Can't wait. We're going to ride the Gondola at the Venicitian this time. Of course see Barry and I want to go downtown and see what is down there. It's going to be so fun. I'm weighing in at 187. pretty good eh? Can't wait, Can't wait.
