Well. I'm going to make this short and sweet but August 29th, 2008 was the best evening of my life. That was my first Platinum and I thought my last.I was so thrilled to finally have to opportunity to meet Barry and his wonderful staff. All great people. I am also lucky enough to be able to meet with him again this February along with my twin sister Kathy. She did Platinum in September of 2008 but next year we can do it together. How great is that? Thanks for the add and hope to be able to keep in touch with everyone on the board that have this one thing in common. A great entertainer. Take care, Candy

Hi Linda! Great group! As you can see from my picture, my platinum was an unforgettable evening to say the least! It will be 4 years tomorrow but it seems like yesterday! My best friend and Barry buddy John was with me at the time and we had almost 15 minutes with Barry and had 2 disposable cameras clicking away. We were very lucky to get at least 20 good pictures but the last one is my most favorite. Barry surprised me with a kiss I will NEVER forget! Enjoy yours! It is sssoo worth the money! Manilove, Jan

My Platinum was last May 23, 2008. It was an experience that will be a beautiful memory forever.

I, too, am not a good flyer, and had not flown anywhere for over 10 years, but the flight out was full of anticipation, and the flight back was full of memories, so I didn't mind it at all!

Our group of 10 was such fun! We became fast friends during the little party before our meetings with Barry. We got to know each other quickly, which was easy, because we all had our love for Barry in common! When someone would come back from their Barry experience, the rest of us bombarded them with questions.

I won't forget the moment I first set eyes on Barry as I walked into the room. There he was, waiting just for me with a smile on his face. He immediately put me at ease asking where I was from, what I did, etc., and talking to him became easy. We then talked about the 80's album he was working on, and I suggested a song that I would love to hear him sing. He said that it was one they were considering, so I was pleased about that! Guess I'll just have to wait until the CD comes out to see if it made the final cut! We chatted briefly about our pets, since I knew he loved his dogs dearly. All the while, Barry was very gracious and kind. Then it was time for him to sign my book and take the picture. He gave me a hug, I received my camera with the candid shots, and it was over way too soon!

Being in the front row for the concert was just the most wonderful thing ever. If I walked two steps, I could have touched him on the stage. I was really hyped for the whole show and it ended before I knew it.

Now, at home, I have two "Barry Shrines," as my husband calls them(he doesn't get it and never will!) I have my picture and autographed book in my office, and some other mementos in a wall unit. I have a home business, so when female customers walk in and see my picture, they go bananas and ask me all about my experience, while my husband groans!

I wouldn't give up my Platinum experience for anything. It was the experience of a lifetime, and I feel blessed that I have those memories.

Hi Linda,
Thanks for doing a welcome to all of us that have had the pleasure to do platinum.
I met Barry in May 2008, and l am still on cloud 9.
I cannot remember much about it, because l could not believe l was in the same room as him.
He was a very gentle, kind, gorgeous and not as tall as l thought he would be.
I can only remember talking about my fear of flying, which he seemed interested in. After 23 years of being a fan, it was hard to beleive that he was stood next to me, but you can tell by my photo that l am beaming.
If you get the chance to do platinum, do it, you will never forget it.

Platinum in October2004 for ONLOLT. I'll post my picture when I figure how to download it without my husband's help!!
