Is there one song of Barry's that just makes you turn on the waterworks (as my dad uses to call them) Do you just cry a river whenever the song is being played? And,eventhough you are crying your eyes out, you just have to hear it over and over again?

Forme it is WE LIVE ON BORROWED TIME. I listen to that song and cry to those words that are so true. and once the song is finished, i play it again and again and listen to it over and over as the tears are streaming down my face.

Mine is Learning to Live Without You. A good friend of mine passed away last year and everytime I hear that song, I cry because I think of his wife and the rest of us left behind.

Hello Kathy-- For me, the easy winner is "Lay Me Down". It had that effect the first time I heard it. All these years later, it still has that power. Nice to meet you, btw. Manilove to all, Chris.

I cry to THIS ONE'S FOR YOU AND EVEN NOW

I don't really cry, but "Even Now" transports me to the past and reminds me of very good moments. "This one's for you" (wherever you are) seems to have been made "specially" for someone very close to me that passed away. There's another one that
makes me think about the future of all of us and I think Barry wrote or inspired the words on his Grandparents - "Not what you see", the oldest couple at the Mayflower.

Can I have two?? Please, please, please!!! Okay first "Mandy", because that was when 'we met', and "WINE", because it came out in 1978 when I was in an abusive marriage, and my ex-husband forbid me from listening to Barry because I had had the nerve to say I had a tiny crush on him??? anyway when I left my ex I took that album "This One's for You", and when I finally got to listen to it and heard that song I just started to cry. Over the years that song has meant different things to me, like recently when I did Platinum and he sang it that night on stage, 'and when will I hold you again'........oh man just hit home. That is my favourite Barry song too, as well as being the one that makes me run for the kleenex.

I put the CD in the player and listened to Two Nights Live as I cooked dinner. The next thing I knew, tears were streaming down my face as Barry said "Someone might need to hear this tonight...." and then sang "You're There".

Beautiful music....beautiful lyric....tears me apart every time.

Hi,
For me it's always the song "I miss you" from the mayflower album. The sadness in the song makes me very upset.
A live song is mostly that goodbye song that he does now and then.Don't know the title of it.

Adele,

Hi I am totally with you, I'm your child is my favourite,it is so beautiful. My dream is to hear it live one day, if I ever get to do a platinum or meet and greet etc I would love to ask Barry to sing it, I am a dreamer....

Also "I write the songs" often makes me teary as it is my first memory of Barrys music about 30 years ago.
