Since there was talk of foreign language songs - here is something that I ran across this week while doing research for the "Manilow Music Project" charity event that I'm overseeing.
It's by Adrienne Artz (now Anderson) and Barry - translated over into French - back into English - and re-done as a YOU TUBE video - put to a melody that ALL of you will know. If you read and understand French, some of the comments after the YOU TUBE video are entertaining as well.
It's interesting if nothing else - enjoy!

Le temps qui court (The passing of time)
Adrienne Artz / Barry Manilow adapt. Jean-Michel Rivat
And finally, after some years,
Men have replaced your puppets.
And the roses set in your room
Replace, today, the flowers of the fields.
And it's the passing of time
That renders us serious.
Life has rendered us proud.
Because the passing of time
Changes our pleasures,
And it's the lack of love that makes us age.
At the hour that it is, my plastic cars
Have been real ones for a long time now.
And finally, business and money
Have replaced my toys from before.
