Hi Bekah,
Well said, you said everything l feel too.
Look after yourself Barry, you are human like the rest of us, l know what it feels like to have surgery, eat well and rest well.
God bless

Hi all, Now l am back home after seeing Barry in Vegas, the show was Fantastic.
I rememebered l said l would sent a pic of my beautiful dog Skye, who is a dog and 3 years old, never owned a dog before, but cannot explain the happiness he has boug...
Hey Chrissy,
Same here, it was difficult going back to school and reality. I always think the flight home is the most depressing part. I had 2 people I know who live close to me on the same flight as me going home so it wasn't as bad this time around. And it was so much cooler here too. It was about 25 degrees when I came home and was humid too, so it was a big change from 40ish degree weather and dry heat to damp, cooler conditions. And then the few days after it was even colder so I was freezing. It's so weird though how cool England stays in summer.
Oh I LOVE NYC. I live about an hour outside of the city and I am determined to live there in a few years. I live more out in the country like you it seems and I don't dislike it because it's a very nice area to grow up in, but I just couldn't imagine spending my whole life here. NYC is certainly a big shock for some people though if you're not used to it. Did you just stay in Manhattan or did you venture to any of the other boroughs like Brooklyn? Brooklyn is so beautiful. That's where I'd like to live. I really like Vegas too though. I never really had the desire to go there in the past but I do like it there now. It's a fun city and the food IS really good. hehe. I hope Barry is at least somewhere in Vegas next year because I'd like to go back.
I understand about the Proms too. Barry recently came to Jersey and Connecticut and I was only about an hour and a half drive from both, but I just didn't have the money. I'm excited though too because they'll be playing the concert on BBC radio and I've listened to Barry in the past when he was on the radio there via internet so I'll listen on the computer.
Awwww thank you so much., that's very kind of you. As I've been to Australia and well be going again in a few months, England is on the top of my list of places to go and I'd love to see a UK show. I'm sure he'll go back there again as he does love you guys. :) What kind of dog do you have? I have 2 myself. :)
But yes I did, I suffer from depression so I had that on top of normal teenage stuff so I went through a rough few years and although Barry wasn't a part of my life in the beginning of it, he came at the perfect time and did help me get through an end of a friendship this year, so it all worked all well. I'm starting to get back on my feet now though.
Talk to you later
Hugs,
Bekah
Hey Chrissy,
Oh that's quite alright, I completely understand about being shy. I have slowly begun to come out of my shell, but I can still be very shy in certain situations. Have been since I was a little kid. But I'm glad we got to chat even if it was only for a few seconds. :)
But OMG I still can't get over those shows. It's already been a week and I'm still going on and on about him like if it just happened an hour ago. Before this trip to Vegas I had only seen him 4 times previously, but after seeing the show on the 27th I knew we were in for a great weekend. It was by far the best I have ever seen him. His voice was just beyond amazing and he was in such a great, great mood. Really, I can't get over how great he was. It made me fall in love with him and his music even more. I can't wait to see him again in the future. Don't know when that will be exactly, but I'm sure it's in the near future. Are you going to the Proms?
Seeing Barry this time around was really the greatest therapy I could have had. After he sung IMITTR, the full version no less which I needed and SDTR, a big weight was just lifted off of me as the first 8 months of this year weren't the greatest. It was like that was all I needed, just to sit and watch him sing in person. He certainly does get you through those rough times. He's gotten me through my very uncomfortable teen years. I just wish everybody could have somebody like him to help them through the rough times. I am so thankful each and every day that I made that what seemed at the time, an insignificant decision to attend one of his concerts because if I hadn't said yes, my life would have been very different right now. He has added so much to my life. :)
But I get picked on constantly from both my family and friends. It used to bother me but now hen they say something all I say is "ok" when they say something and that shuts them up because they don't have anything to respond to. They just will never get it and I'm fine with that.
I understand why your son may be embarrassed though. There's a lot of pressure on people our age to like certain things and look a certain way, etc. He'll overcome that eventually though. :)
That's so great though that you and Ian have had the chance to meet Barry. I'll probably never do Platinum, but I do hope that one day I'll meet Barry even if it's just a quick "Hi and thank you." I just have this urge to tell him thank you because he taught me things and showed me things I would have never seen if I hadn't listened to his music or read his words.
And don't feel sorry for not having spoken more, there will always be other times. I'm dying to go over to the UK and would love for a trip to coincide with Barry being there, so you never know. ;)
Take care,
Bekah
I feel naked without my camera... so taking a lot of photos is kinda my security blanket, I guess... Wish you woulda said Hi! :) Next time... There were about 15 or so of us there. It was the best time ever!!! I miss everyone already!!!
Awww, I wish you would have said something, too! It's ok... I'm kinda shy, and can relate to not wanting to make a fool of myself! LOL! I live in Southern California, so I drive to Vegas... it's about a 3 hour 45 minute drive. Not TOO bad. It's hot here, too but not like Vegas! I loved the POOL!! I miss it... Bekah is a doll... I'm one of her Barry Moms... would adopt her in a heartbeat! My kids were with me as well. My son did one of the shows and my daughter did two of them. We all had a great time... WOW sounds like you had quite a nice vacation! NY and Vegas! :) Lovely! I'll run. I'm late. I am normally off on Mondays but the boss has me working this Monday and next. 14 days in a row. There goes the novelty of being off 3 days!! LOL! Take care! Talk soon... Teresa
Hi,
I wish l had said something now, l was bothered about making a fool of myself. I did reconize a few fans of the Manilow Network, and spoke to young Becca. The shows came to an end to quick, Thursday and Fridays show were only 1hr 15mins, Barry always seems like he does not want to go, but l suppose thats the Hiltons rules.
Its hard having to go back to work, especially when the weather in Vegas is hot, l love the hot weather, here in England we don't get many days of sun, we went to New York for 4 nights and Vegas for 6 nights. Back now to rain and miserable skies. Where do you live in America and how long a flight is it to Vegas, its nearly 10 hours from over the pond.

YES he was amazing all three nights... beautiful shows... Have a great day... I'm off to work... ugh... back to reality...
