Hello Teresa in Espania!
I visited your wonderful country many years ago. I was on a pilgrimage that began in Madrid, then went to Avila, Segovia, Toledo, and Alba de Tormes. They were places related to one of my favorite saints, Teresa of Avila. I…
I was thinking...maybe meet somewhere in the middle...like Station Square. They have a couple of places there that are really good. Maybe we could meet at the water fountain and decide from there. Any day is OK with me.
It looks like we will be sitting very close to one another for Pittsburgh...the row behind me and 7 seats to the right.
I live out here in Robinson Twp...right off of Ridge Road...if you ever want to get together for lunch or what ever before the big day...just let me know. I work from home, so I'm pretty flexible...
Also, I forgot to mention...I love your candid photos from your Platinum. I was wondering what that was that you were showing Barry. He looked very interested in it : )
Can you believe it's only 51 more days until Barry is back here in Pittsburgh! : )
As far as I know...and according to the Mellon Arena site, it is an end stage set up.
Actually, I like the in the round set up. I was living down in FL back in 2004, and missed that whole tour when he did perform in the round.
Actually, this is my first show here in Pittsburgh in quite a while.
I moved back here in 2006, and have seen him every where else except for here. I'm also looking forward to see all of my old friends who I haven't seen in a very long time.
I splurged (being that it's home and there would be no traveling/hotels involved) and got my ticket through FRM...FL2, Row A, Seat 9...right in the very center! : ) I was so nervous when I opened that envelope up from FRM when it arrived because you don't find out what your seat is until they send it to you.
You wrote that you met a friend who is also going to the Pittsburgh show, and I thought maybe we could all meet up at the show...
Well, I'm off to do the treadmill...I do an hour a day and Barry at the Mellon is my incentive! Lol
thanks I met him at the Hilton backstage in august 2007 and april 2008. One of his employees took the candid photos and I was given the camera as I exited the room and Barry had signed the poster/program for me. I think there were 12 ladies each time I went. It was a wonderful experience both times and you can read about it on the group Mr Dynamite. Its a group set up by Lana Hughes here on Ning, just look under Groups and go to their website. Click on Platinum Thingy 2 and 3. And also Manilow Moments. I agree, having the candid photos is a great way to relive the memories!

Oh and I have to add I got a huge bear hug from Barry when I told him I did artworks of him since we were talking about school. He said he would even buy one off me but I told him I would give him one free. lol
Hey Janice! I'm from Butler actually so we are about 45 mins away. I did meet Barry in Vegas this year on May 30th. It was unbelievable! He is amazing. He couldn't be a sweeter guy. I went with my mom. When Barry introduced himself he was like "Wow you are so young! What are 18?" I said "no I'm 20." Then he said "God your beautiful" I just about fainted I had no idea what to say the whole time. He is just so handsome and a great person that I just stood there in shock. Before I left I gave him a letter I wrote to him. It was funny cause I was joking around about the security coming to tackle me. He found that pretty funny. Then after the show I waited for him to see if he would go in the Tempo lounge. His singers and dancers came out one by one then finally Barry came out. I just stood there and smiled and he saw me! He had his bodyguards and he stopped and waved to me and said "Hi Ashley! How did you like the show? Was it alright?" And I was like gave him 2 thumbs up and was like "Yea it was amazing as always" Then he got a huge smile waved bye to me and left. I just couldn't believe he stopped like that for a minute. He is just too good to be true. lol How was yours? Did you give him something?
