Well Lorna, you have to be honest, Barry is lucky to have a great head of hair. There are not a lot of 65 year old men who still HAVE hair--- lol

Hello All

Well, I'm not so sure where to start or where to go with this site in general yet, but I'll give it a shot. So far, this looks like a fun spot to be. I hope it's not like the bnet was. I stopped going there because of all the bickering. I won't be here long if there is too much drama either.

I guess it must be obvious that I am a big Barry Manilow fan. I have been since the summer of 78...the year, not the albumn. LOL He has been a huge part of my life. Enough about that for now.

I don't have an exciting life. I'm married to the same man for almost 34 years. Wow, that's pretty good in this day and age. lol I have 2 kids, and 5 grandkids. Our oldest grandson lives with us. His mom was abusive, so we got custody. His dad knew he couldn't handle him because he has emotional detachment disorder, which makes him a bit of a challenge sometimes. But we love him to pieces. I also have a min pin named Sassy because she is, and a very calm cat named Tiger who is Tyler's best friend--he's the grandson.

I am a cook at Country Kitchen by trade. I love to cook. Cooking is my life. I really enjoy making new recipes for my family and watching the Food network for inspiration.

I guess this is enough for the moment. I'm going to go search out this site for a little bit. Hope to see you around...

Hope you had a really nice Valentine's Day, full of Barry's love songs.
I've been having some problems with my eyes and went to see a new doctor. I told him that my eye problem came back right in the middle of Barry Manilow's show. Doctor saw the light. He mentioned to me that Barry had had laser surgery so he doesn't need to wear his glasses any more. (I LOVE Barry with his glasses! He looks so cute!) Then doctor told me he could make four holes in my left eye to relieve the pressure. I don't know if Barry had THAT done, but as much as I love Barry and his music, I don't think I'm ready to have the holes in my eyes right now. (I really love that picture of Barry with glasses!)

Just wanted to say "HI" and let you know how excited I am about Barry's upcoming shows this month! I have two show tickets and am praying that I get to see at least ONE of the two shows, in case one of the shows is canceled again. This time, I'm preparing myself ahead of time, so that I don't get a migraine again and end up on the floor of the Venition, and a ride in an ambulance to the Sunrie Emergency Hospital, again. What a trip that was last March!
I'm going shopping and doing a little sight-seeing in Las
Vegas. Oh, and look for some record stores, as we don't have many here in Hawaii.
Will you be attending any of Barry's Nov or December shows, or are you going to wait for the 2099 shows? I notice a lot of members have already purchased 2009 show tickets already! I'd like to attend Barry's 2009 shows too, but the airfare is so expensive. I may have to watch Barry on DVD's and TV specials.

It's September 24, 2008, 11:02 PM. Two more months to go. I'm practicing going up and down the stairs, for the stage seat. My left knee is just not trust-worthy, so I use the stairs only if I'm forced to.

What's the price of unleaded gas where you are? In Hawaii, we're paying $4.16. $4.18 and $4.20 for unleaded. There's a gas station a couple of blocks from where I live, and at $4.16, that gas station is doing booming business.

I tried saving Barry's picture like you said, but the only thing that happened is my screen is fading again. Something is ailing my lap top (me????) I want to try to get "The Lost Pictures" back but I don't want to bother my nephew tonight (he hooked the lap top for me). I have itchy fingers!!!
I didn't know that Saturday is a busy night for Apple stores which offer free server use. Maybe too many users on right now.
If my profile picture vanishes, you'll know it went over to the dark side. (sigh)
