I first saw Barry perform September 1, 1973 at Red Rocks Amphitheater.....the night he wrote about in
Sweet Life. He was still musical director for Bette Midler at the time, but what a memorable night....his first ever standing ovation! It was obvious from the very beginning what a talented and versatile musician/composer/arranger he was. But (as Barry himself might say) who "would'a thunk" from those first awkward beginnings what a polished performer and consumate showman he would become? Thank you, Barry, for allowing me to come along for the ride. It's been a blast!

Small world, I saw Barry the first time at Red Rocks in 1978! He was on his own sans Bette! I remember seeing his limo with his extra shoes in the floorboard!
Your convention pictures are wonderful! I think the shows this past weekend were the best I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

Brussels is okay, but Antwerp's much nicer, so you'll have to come to Belgium again, LOL.
