My Vegas Weekend with Barry and Friends!

As I sit at my computer today, I feel such a range of emotions. I'm so sad that it's all over. I'm thankful that I was able to do it. I smile when I think of all the new friends I made. This Is My First Blog Post. . .

This is my first blog post, and I thought I would write a little about my history with Barry as well as my experience last Saturday night, October 4, 2008 at Ultimate Manilow: The Hits at the Las Vegas Hilton.

I took my 22 year-old son, who is not a Barry fan, but has very eclectic taste in music and is quite open-minded. This is Diane who was sitting in front of you Saturday night. It was so wonderful to meet you and your family. Your parents were a delight to visit with and you were so friendly and nice to talk to. I was really struck by how similar our Barry stories were and how much we had in common.

I've had fun looking at your lovely page. You have some very nice pictures in your photo album and on your page. It is a nice escape from the rather stressful day I have had today. Only a few of my pictures turned out very good. I will email the best ones to you.

It is always a let down to come home and get back into the regular routine. But I must say, I couldn't have been happier to get back home to my girls. I missed them terribly. At least I have another trip to look forward to in May. I bet you can't wait until your Platinum in November. You will have a wonderful time. Both times I have met Barry were great. He knows how frightening he can be and will do his best to put you at ease. Just let him take the lead and you will do fine! I was nervous until he walked into the room. After he came in and seeing how kind he was to the people there, my knees stopped shaking.

I don't want this to be too long, so I will sign off. I would love to hear from you.
