Hi Sandy
When I did the Platinum in 2006 you get shown into the green room and can have a glass of sparkling or water and the guys from the Manilow fund chat to you. yOu then each go into see Barry in a seperate room for about 5-10mins and they take your picture there. You are not allowed to take anything into the room and they have a bodyguard there as well. They also took some extra pics on a disposable camera which they gave to me at the end and then i got it developed which was great - so I have a record of our meeting. I work for an animal hospital in Australia so we talked a lot about dogs etc. He was just lovley. They put a VIP sign on your seat and at the end of the concert they give you the official photo in a lovely cover to take away with you and you get to keep the glass - well it was Music and Passion glasses then so not sure what they will do now. Barry signs a copy of the program for you as well. he was funny and stuffed up the first one he signed for me so muttered oh bugger and then signed another one. He was really really lovely and all I could do was gaze into his blue eyes - although I did manage to hold a sensible conversation. Will try and put one of the pics on the site. I have seen him at Foxwoods Casino, did the entire UK tour in 2000 and have seen him three times in Australia - he has not been here since 1996 and I doubt will come back again. So you are lucky being in the US nice and close to him. Take care and have a good week. Manilove Wendy
Hi Sandy Yes I am looking foward to it - it will be my 2nd Platinum experience - I did one in Nov 06 as well - he is so gorgeous and has the bluest eyes. yes will be going to the other concerts - have not booked yet as I am not sure whether some friends in LA will be coming with me. Where are you from. I live in Melbourne, Australia so will be in the US for about 3-4 wks - I have friends in New Hampshire and going to see them and friends in LA I will be staying with. Love shopping in the US so will be buying lots of clothes again when I am there. Hoep you are having a good week.
