Today being Veteran's Day 11/11, I wanted to share the story of what I call my 11/11 cat.
When I was 16, I found a group of very small, infant kittens out in the woods of Missouri by a lake.
I knew the mother cat stayed in the area and she was a calico with one eye missing. Looked like she was born that way.
The litter was so tiny, I thought they were probably not even eating on their own yet. As I stood looking at them, one walked towards me, then a second. Two stayed in the gully.

I believe in visits. Did you dream that about being in your garden with Petie or did it actually happen? My Rusty visited me in a dream the other night. He died of kidney failure a few years ago and was nothing but skin over bones when I finally had to have him put to sleep. At the most he weighed maybe 5lbs. In my dream, like you said, Rusty was muscular and healthy. I was sitting on my back porch in the home I where I grew up (Rusty never lived there but I associate that home with good memories). It was so REAL. When I woke up, I could steal feel what it felt like to hold him and kiss him on his cold pink nose. I pray that your treatment for your cancer will go well and that you will recover.

Funny how numbers can follow a person and yesterday was a day to remember your special pet and also a friend of yours. He sure seemed like a nice companion to have and it was so sad to hear the story of it's passing. I'm sure he is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. Your story brought tears to my eyes.

My father-in-law had 3 special cats in his life. They are all gone now and so is he. He spread their ashes in a field in Kananaskis, a park outside of Calgary. He said when he dies his spirit would go there and pick up all the cats and off they would go onto what ever there was. The thing is one of these cats was mine that ended up living with him but I think the spirit of this cat and another cat stayed with us until this time. We would see shadows of small animals around the house and one time we saw little foot prints go across a blanket. When my father-in-law passed these little shadows and other things stopped so I am guessing they all must have met up.

Thank you for sharing your story. It was very heart-warming.

How about you? How are feeling? I know your next date is fast approaching again to the hospital. Maybe things will turn out better than one may be expecting. I always try to look on the up side of things as good things REALLY CAN HAPPEN and I wish the best for those facing trying times so I really wishing the best for you always.

Just thought I'd let you know that I've managed to reserve most of the books on the reading list you suggested with the exception of one - this was the book Far Journey's that you mentioned - this is out of circulation apparently. What I did find was a book from the same author, Robert Monroe, called Ultimate Journey's which was published later in 2000. Now I've reserved them all, I have to wait until they let me know that they're ready for collection - most of them are coming from the main Central Library here in Manchester so it might be a while.
Thank you for suggesting these books - I'm looking forward to getting them.

Some time ago, I read a book written by a medium - I can't remember which one - anyway in this book Barry was mentioned as being interested and developing his skills - I think from what was said in this book that this person must have met Barry and had a conversation with him about this.
Could you remember who the author of Hands of Light is ? I could go and access my Library's website catalogue if I know the author. Info on any other books that you could think of that would be good to read would be appreciated.
The book I just read on the Kabbalah was very interesting and made a lot of sense - what I need to do though is to buy something that I could keep so's I could reread and dip into when I want to.
I'll have a think about starting a discussion - at present I feel that I don't know much and that theres so much for me to learn. What I could do is tell some of the things that have happened over the years - perhaps people could then comment and relate similar experiences.
