I have always loved Manilow music!(all my 73 years) And I never missed one of first TV specials. When I became A REAL HONEST TO GOODNESS FAN, was when his Songs of the '50s CD was released. That was my generations songs being sung by the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard. How it had stayed so young sounding amazed me. I instantly began to look for CD's and DVD's, which were hard to find here in Tyler, Texas (100 miles east of Dallas). I bought everything I could find and listened over and over. When I heard about MUSIC AND PASSION at the Hilton in Vegas, I had to go! My daughter(52 years) and I took this most amazing and unforgettable trip to see the show. It was everything I had expected. And the Manilow store at the Hilton was a bonanza for me. I bought everything I could find, and brought it home with me. Then came this wonderful network where I could make friends with other fans all over the world.

Thanks for you response to my group. That is such a great story that you shared. I love hearing from people that have been fans for so long. When Barry was making his hits, I loved to hear them on the radio and I always watched his TV specials. I was rearing my family in the 50s, 60s,70s and 80's. But I am an infant when it comes to length of time of being a devoted fan. But I have made up a lot of ground in the three years that I have been devoted. It must be cold everywhere. It has been unseasonly cold here. One did have a few flakes of snow last week. They came down pretty hard for a little while, but melted when they hit the ground. I like snow but not ice. I am surprised that it gets so cold where you live. The elevation must be pretty high. Do you have nearby mountains? I think I asked you that before.
I made my trip to Dallas to see the specialist ok. My doctor said just follow up with my local doctor here in Tyler and that I don't have to come back up there to see her unless my condition worsens and MAYBE IT WON't. When does your Christmas Holiday began? I'll bet you are looking forward to it. I always did when I worked.
