Brooklyn Bridge

I just watched a Ken Burns American Stories program on PBS. This episode was about the Brooklyn Bridge. If your PBS station ever shows this documentary, it is well worth watching. I think Mr. Manilow crossed this bridge many times. Gisèle Continue

A little bit of Italy.

I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. I have another recipe for you under the group "What's For Dinner?" I took this recipe from an old cooking book which is about 35 years old. It is Risotto so if you like rice you will like this dish. Risotto is very good served the same day or re-heated. I hope you like it. Gisèle Continue

Thank you!

Thank you Mr. Manilow for the new song: "A Man Like Me". It does sound a little country. You have composed another lovely song which should be heard. A man who truly loves can make a woman happy for a lifetime. Sincere love is what a woman needs the most and is not so easy to find. Gisèle Continue

Soupe du Jour

For all my friends at the Manilow Network, I have added a new recipe in the group: What's For Dinner? It is a celery soup, easy to make, tasty and economical. Have a nice bowl of hot soup and follow that with a slice of the Alsacian apple tart that I have in the same group and you will have a nice dinner. You might also want to browse through the other delicious recipes given by the members of the group. Enjoy! Gisèle Continue

Dessert is ready.

With "Here at the Mayflower" playing in the background, I made a very good apple tart. This is a very popular recipe in France, in fact I think every French woman knows how to make this. Sorry about the picture, it came out too big. I don't know how to make it smaller yet. That will come in time. It is in the group: "What's For Dinner?". I hope you all have a very nice day and that you have the opportunity to listen to a lot of music from our favorite musician and singer, Mr. Manilow. Gisèle Continue

Trouble

My computer was down for several hours due to a virus. I wonder how that happened? I was able to fix it and it's up and running again. Wouldn't want to miss any news from Mr. Manilow's web page. I have a suspicion many of you are rewinding your VCR tapes and watching the 4th of July show again. I know I will watch it again today. Have a nice day! Gisèle Continue
