I cant believe this is exactly a year ago today......3rd December 2008 that myself and some friends got to see Barry before his UK shows at the o2 and the MEN. Happy memories.

Hi All
I tried to take as many notes as possibly on Barry's telling of the Johnny Mercer story. Its not complete but things were going by so fast I did as much as I could remember. If anyone recalls anything please add on. Where I have been able to remember who the person was, I have annotated by thier name who they are.....apologies as there are some who I cant recall who they are.

Wouldnt it be a fabulous gift to have a DVD of Barry's performance at the BBC Proms in Hyde Park??
Maybe if we all email the 'Beeb' they may sit up and take notice and actually think about doing something by way of releasing a DVD......just Barry's performance would be all I'd want. I dont need or want the entire show and 5 hours of entertainment would probably be difficult for them to contain in one disc so it would involve more than one and double the work, so all I am interested in i… Continue
It all started months before with the announcement that Barry was coming back to the UK less than a year after his last appearance’s here for the fantastic shows in December 2008 (Thank You Barry). Now, he was coming back to perform again at the prestigious British event The BBC Proms in Hyde Park.

Remember that guy Robert Metcalf? Said Barry was "The B Man"???? He's back! He had tickets to see Barry in Rochester.........I think this was recorded before MJ's passing. Nice to hear his compliments to Barry.
