Everytime I go to Vegas, Barry is not there!!!

I don't know why this seems to happen, but every time I make arrangements to go to Las Vegas, it is never when Barry is playing at the Hilton.

Last year, when we were there in June, no Barry at the Hilton

Then, I was trying to talk my husband into a week long trip to Vegas at Christmas - December 21st thru December 26th & guess what - no Barry at the Hilton. Yesterday, our friends decided that they wanted to go to Vegas too, however, they could only get away in October. October 7th thru the 10th. Guess what, no Barry at the Hilton.

So - we are going to book the trip this evening for the October trip & then we are going to Memphis in January - so that leaves out the December trip all together. The strange part of of all of this is two other couples - who don't know each other & whom we haven't talked into in months - called us within the last 36 hours & said that they wanted to go with us to Vegas next time we go. Looks like it will be a big party in Vegas in October.

I think that I would find someway to make my hubby have to take me to Vegas with him!! You poor thing!! I would be crying "no fair" too!!

OK, so I just realized my husband is going to Vegas next week. He'll be in town when Barry's new show starts. He's not going to the show, of course. He'll be in town for a work thing, but still.... This group, I think, is the only place where I can cry NO FAIR!!!! and be understood. So there. NO FAIR!!!!!! :)

Oh. Well. No trip to Vegas is complete without a trip to the M store. My husband knows that. And my in-laws have come to accept that I will take my daughter with me. Yes, even to a casino. She loves Barry's music, too. She had a ball watching the videos and dancing to the music last time we were there. Although, now that we won't be able to go over to Quark's (in the Star Trek part) for lunch, I might get a little more resistance from my husband.

I've had this trouble too. I'm going in Oct. also and no Barry and then again in Nov w/ my husband for his work and no Barry. I have decided I'm going to the Hilton anyway to buy out the gift shop! I will also take pictures in front of his advertisements. I guess that's the best I can do! I got to see him last April for my 30th birthday, but we planned it. I guess I can't be a Barry hog and see him more than once in a year. Thank God he's there next year!!!!!!

Well, I guess that we can all be grateful that we have until the end of 2009 to try to get there to see him. For my 2009 trip to Vegas, I will definately try to plan around Barry's schedule. However, none of the people I go to Vegas with cherish Barry the way that I do, so for them, it's no big deal. I'm not even sure that I could get any one to go to the concert with me. They just don't know what they are missing!!!

yep, the same happened to me. We went all the way from belgium to Las Vegas in the month of December. Guess what ? NO BARRY. So we stayed there for one week and then came back home. But we saw the Rodeo. I know it's no Barry but we did have a lot of fun too.

I have that same problem/curse/whatever! I was very excited when Barry brought his show to Vegas, because my in-laws live there and we had been traveling to see them usually 2 or 3 times a year. Yay! Whenever we were in Vegas, I could grab a ticket and have a Barry night. Yeah, right! So I was 6 months pregnant when the show opened. We had the baby baptized at the in-laws' church in Vegas. We plan the event, I check the schedule--no Barry. Three tickets to Vegas is somehow WAY more expensive than two, and the in-laws suddenly started inviting themselves to visit us. Dang it! So over the past three and a half years I have been in Vegas all of 3 times, one of which was a trip to specifically see Barry. That one trip is the only time I've been there that Barry was there! AARRRGGHH! All my sales reps even know now that if they want me to come to a training in Vegas it needs to be on a week that Barry is there--but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe in the spring when we baptize #2.....

I had a 2007 like that. Went to three conventions there ( meaning that someone paid for me to go), All three times NO BARRY. But this year I hit the jackpot, Jan, in Chicago- April in St. Louis and Oct. in Vegas. So sometimes the stars do align.
