This is one of the many reasons I look up to him so much. So many people give of themselves only looking for praise and to stroke their own ego. He does this, gets nominated for an award, and other then a hotline message doesn't make a big huge fuss. He gives so much and doesn't ask for anything in return, really.

Proud, yes, I´m as proud as the pope, as we say in danish. I don´t know, if you say like this. BARRY so deserves this. I can see through many posts and through BARRY´S charities, what WONDERFUL CARING and THOUGHTFUL man, he is and I haven´t doubted that for one second. But I didn´t know BARRY. As I haven´t followed his career here in Denmark, nor what he had outside the entertainment and stage, so I actually didn´t know, anything about these charities. Now I´ve read about it and I think, it´s wonderful things, BARRY supports or give money to or what you say. i´m not writing this to critizise or make trouble, I´m writing this, because I´ve been in the dark, as what BARRY was into, besides singing, playing and making music. I didn´t even know, if he still was making music, but I had a feeling, he was performing. That´s how bad, it has been. Denmark is so lost country, when it comes to Barry Manilow, isn´t it dreadful. Especially when you are a fan. You can´t get any information, if you haven´t a computer. So that´s why I found out, that BARRY actually has all these charities and I feel happy about it. Yes, BARRY DESERVES SO MUCH THIS PRICE. NOONE ELSE HAS THAT WONDERFUL PERSONALITY, BARRY IS SUPERB. MANILOVE VIBEKE.

I agree that Barry is a truly wonderful, caring man. And over the years he has been involved with a lot of charities. He might not know what it is like to be homeless, but he has said that he knows what it is like to bee poor. Kindness begets kindness. And Barry giving of his heart, helping those who are in need, for what ever reason, he gets rewarded for it.

Since Barry wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he know's what struggling is like. He know's what his family went through and he himself. So, he give's to other's for disease's, homelessness, to keep music in our school's etc. I am so glad he is finally recognised for all he does and he never make's a big deal about it like so many other entertainer's. That's just one thing in many that I love about him.
