Barry in the UK - So What Are You Going to Wear???

To celebrate Barry coming back to the UK, and boy is this going to be a celebration, what do you plan to wear for the concert/s.

For me, I love sparklies, so I will be wearing lots of sparklies even sparkly eye shadow.

Hi All,

Yes I agree with you CJ feeling comfortable is really important. I wouldn't want to feel my feet hurt or my clothes are too tight etc., just for the sake of fashion.

I feel because the O2 is such a new and stunning venue, I want to dress up for the occasion. I'm not thinking of evening dress LOL, just a few sparkly bits.

What ever we wear it's a celebration, and I just can't wait.

I really hope we get to hear when the tickets go on sale, the waiting is driving me mad.

I feel light headed and can't concentrate is anyone else feeling like that :)

Oh happy days!!!

Much Manilove

I live an hour away from the O2, and I can't even begin to tell you what I'm feeling waiting for tomorrow morning, it's like the calm before the storm at the moment isn't it, I can actually feel the tension, I feel like I'm on a leash waiting for the moment the start gun fires, and I can order the tickets, I still can't believe it's happening, it's like being on a constant high, who needs chocolate (lol) when you've got Barry.

As for clothes, smart casual and comfortable is how I'm going.

CJ, you're so right....comfortable clothes are KEY! Maybe they can be sparklie and comfortable, too. When it comes to SHOES.........comfort is a must!

We went to see Barry at Foxwoods several years back.......I chose a "nice" pair of heels to wear, didn't even break them in....I thought they'd be ok. Well, it wound up they were soooo UNcomfortable as I wore them around.... I could hardly walk right. We stayed for two nights of shows and I only had one other pair of shoes.....my sneakers. The second night those shoes nearly did me in.........it was the only spoiler to what was a terrific weekend of Barry and his Music.

I hope he comes back to Foxwoods sometime.....I KNOW I'll be wearing comfortable "nice" flats!

CJ, I've "lived and I've learned"...lol

Not only won't I wear a high heel again, I really can't. Between broken toes, a broken ankle and broken leg (all at different times) my feet say "NO"!!!

During the concerts we saw I felt no pain........the Shows and Barry do that to us! (it was when we had to walk back through Foxwoods to retrieve our car that it all set in!)

I always wear flats now to Barry's concerts...no muss, no fuss!

Ditto for me - flats only! I had back problems quite a few years ago that were aggravated by heels (and they weren't even very high). I could never wear stiletto type heels - I'd never be able to walk in them - LOL. No matter how fancy the occasion I always wear dressy flats (or nice dressy flat sandals). That sometimes limits the types of dresses I can wear but I mostly wear pantsuits anyway. The older I get the less fashion conscious I am. Comfort comes first!

DRESS UP, DRESS UP, DRESS UP. I can tell you that right now. I´ll be wearing a fancy skirt and a very smart shirt and fancy shoes. Like I will in Manchester. I´ll be coming from a jubilee. My Manchester trip will be prolonged and I can´t wait, booking my tickets now for this UK PARTY. MANILOVE VIBEKE.

Vibeke,
Do you plan to be in London? I will be there for the Thursday show. As much as I wanted to be with you in September for your Platinum I can only do one or the other and since I have been to Vegas so many times I decided to go to London this time around. If you will be there we can make plans to meet up somplace.

As for dress - I'm thinking it will be cold in December so comfortable boots along with black jeans and a fabulous top will probably be my choice.

Well, Barbara, I´m definitely going for the 4th of dec. show. I didn´t know it was a thursday, but I´ve just checked my calendar. I´ll be in England from the 23th of nov. anyway, so I´m going for the 4th and I´ll maybe stayig until the 6th or 7th of dec. So, yes, we can meet up someplace. WHAT A GREAT IDEA. MANILOVE VIBEKE.
