I turned 40 this year .. a bummer for me as I still feel like I am too young to be that age!! I am trying to embrace these years though. I have a rabbit, too. He was a rescue mission (don't ask. lol).

He wasn't mistreated - just ignored to death. Not only that, he was kept in a small cage for 5 years with metal grating as flooring. I don't know how he lasted like that.

It took a year to bring him around. The first time I lay on the couch with him, you should've seen his little face because he never saw a human at that level. lol

He purrs and now it's getting different. He can sound like an old-fashioned locomotive but in a higher pitch, if you can imagine it.

He hasn't done any happy dances - probably because I have hardwood floors. But, when he looks at me, he throws his tongue around like a little lariat in his mouth. Then, he chews a hole in my shirt. True love. lol

At 10:08am on July 25th, 2008, marge R said…: Good news about my kitty! the blood work came back and she doesn't have any diseases like diabetes, liver disease or kidney failure. Bad news is that she still has some sort of spinal disorder. We won't be taking her to specialists to find out if it is a tumor or not because Dr. Walt said the treatment would be the same. He is making a house call tonight to give her a massive dose of steroids. He says that will make her comfortable for the next 1 - 6 months and then we can decide further action. I mentioned to Linda how nice it is to have a vet in the family. He is like family to us. He and Mike have known each other since they were 12 years old. I met him in high school and even dated him once before I fell for my dreamboat. (Mike not Barry) Enough about the cat.......she will be fine. Have a great weekend. marge
