You hanging on to a pole in a hurrican is a scream!!! Poor Karen. It would have been nice tho if your little audience could stop laughing a sec to help you.
I'm taking an Italian language class at the local college. The kids in there are all about 20 and they've buddied up for pronunciation groups, leaving Gramma out. lol So, it looks pretty likely that I'll have to go 'to the mountains' for one of my own.
This'll be my study group - not a lie but totally true: Ten old men who sit for coffee at Tim Horton's every Sunday night at 7pm. LOL Seven are Sicilian and three are Italian. They all speak Italian but, oftentimes, the Sicilians will speak their own dialect so the others won't know what they're talking about. The old ways are still dyin' hard. But, I've seen them. They do exist. It'll be hilarious. I just gotta screw up enough nerve to go there but I want to go nice, not stupid.
Stay in touch, Karen, OK? It's phenomenal that you know that when it cools down, the hurricanes stop.

i'm guessing you have seen him in concert before?? But i like his show in Vegas so much better than the arena shows.. it seems so much more personal..
2 weeks from tonight, i'll be sitting front row & watching his every move.. so, i know how you feel.. it can't get here soon enough..

Hope you weren't too affected by the hurricane. i have some family in the houston area, but no one had extreme damage. but without power. i know what that's like. we had a major ice storm last dec, & our house was without power for 7 days.. seemed really bad since it was cold. but might be just as bad if its hot.
anyway, i see you're going to see barry the end of oct. i'm going to see him the first week of oct, & can hardly wait. he is so addictive!! & hot!!
