Saw Barry impersonator yesterday

Went to Casino Niagara (Niagara Falls, Canada) yesterday to see a Barry Manilow impersonator. He wasn't half bad. It was a good afternoon, especially since it was free entertainment! Sure, it wasn't Barry, but it was fun all the same! He looked like a Barry from the late 80's or early 90's. He put on a blonde wig, black pants, print shirt and a blue jacket (with a piano pin on the lapel). He sang the classics and then did "Let's hang on", and "I'd really love to see you tonight". Manilow Impersonator at Casino Niagara

Saw in the local paper this weekend that in August, they are having a Manilow impersonator performing. I'm going to boot down to the Falls to see what this guy's like. It's part of a "Rock and Roll" Tribute. Should be interesting.

Thanks for thinking of me....and all the other gals who came from all over the world to see Barry. Our only hope is that Barry feels better soon. We made lemonade out of lemons and came back with so many more friends than we thought possible. I will fill you and the other ladies from our lunch group in when I can. Till then....sad but will survive...marge

Hi Kathy
I left a comment for you re the Garry photo, as I had no idea who was who in that pic, other than Baz of course! Garry's not at all what I thought he looked like. Goodness knows where I thought he had a beard. I just thought I'd seen a pic of him at a convention or chat-thingy and he had a beard. Perhaps I was looking at the wrong bloke all along!

Hi Kathy,
You're welcome for the picture. Last week was lots of fun and hopefully we'll be able to meet up again. I know what you mean about August seeming to be so far away. This past November was my first trip to Vegas and it was a Platinum as well. Lynn and I had signed up so early in the year. It was the first time in my life I actually wanted summer to fly by! Good luck with the school year. What grade do you teach? My mom was a teacher (subsitute) and many times had long term subing jobs. So many people think a teacher's job is only as long as the school day which is totally untrue! Have a good week! Linda

Hi, Kath!

I wanted to let you know how very nice it was to meet you on Sunday. It was a great lunch because everyone just got into conversation without shyness and just kept it going!

If, and I do mean if, we do this next year, I'm thinking about a nice conference room, with nice upholstered chairs and coffee tables, kinda like in a circle?, so we can see everyone and just yak without looking down a long table.
