A little about me....
HI! My name is Holly. I am a 35 yr old mother of 3 beautiful children - 2 boys (13 and 9) and a little princess that is 5. I've been married for 14 years. I just graduated from nursing school on May 8th - I'm officially a graduate nuse!! It's been a long time coming. For my graduation present, my parents bought me tickets to go see Barry in St. Louis on April 25th. It was a total surprise, but a definate dream come true. I have been a fan of Barry's since I was 3. My parents have video of me standing on the fireplace mantle singing "Jump Shout Boogie" with a wooden spoon as my microphone with my little blonde pigtails going up and down....(oh, those were the days!) I started playing the piano when I was 4 because I wanted to grow up and play JUST LIKE HIM! I'm pretty good, but not as near as good as he is!!!
On April 25th, 2008, I saw Barry for the first time in St. Louis. It was a graduation present from my parents. I had awesome seats - was like 35 feet from the stage. Of course, it would have been sooooo awesome to be in the front row and go up on stage with him. It was the best night of my life. I will never forget it!!
This site it sooooooo neat! I know that there are alot of fans of Barry out there....I just don't know of any near me. I have many friends, but they don't share the passion for him and his music like I do. I've actually been made fun of for years for loving this man. I really don't care, and never did, what anyone else thinks. HE IS MUSIC, and HE writes the songs!! :)
Please feel free to leave me a comment. I would love to get to know as many people as possible. One day soon I will be making it out to Vegas to see him. It would be nice to be able to afford to get out there for the birthday bash, but I've got to wait 'til I start making some money!
See ya on the site!!
Hugs and Manilove,
Holly

My name is Beth and I am from Sydney, Australia.I stumbled across you page, when I read your introduction, I could of been reading about myself. I am 38, married for 14 years and have 4 children, three boys aged 10/5/3 and our princess who is 8. I have been a Barry fan forever, my earliest memory is about 5 years old. I have always listened to his music, and saw his show in Sydney back in 1993.
It all came together for me when we took the kids to disneyland last Oct, and also to Vegas. About 18 months prior, our life got complicated with a new house, new schools etc, Iwas driving with my one year old back then asleep in the car, feeling very depressed as we had just missed out on buying a house we loved, we had three weeks to move, I was stressed and feeling sorry for myself when I heard Barry interviewed on the radio. I stopped the car, he was talking about the vegas shows, well luckily 18 months later I was there, it was magic, so emotional for me, By The time Mandy and I write the songs were sung, The tears could not stop. I was in awe.
6 Months later I dragged my husband back to vegas (he loves it..) Luckily I work for a airline so we get cheap flights!!!!. We saw 2 magic shows, One in the front row, He smiled at me, but chose the lady next to me to dance, I froze, I think he saw the look of terror on my face..I wish I was chosen, just wanted to thank him for everything.....Those two shows were magic. It was the first time we had left the kids, we were away 6 nights, My heart was breaking, but whilst I was in the shows, I forgot everything. Vegas is a great venue really hope you make it. we are saving hard to go back in Oct, there are so many fans going from the 22 Oct, I would love to meet fans who understand how we feel, none of my friends do, my husband is great and enjoyed the shows.
Like you my dream is to become a nurse, I would love to be a midwife, I was enrolled in college when I was 17, but gave it up to travel. I met my husband whilst I was travelling, but 4 children later, I haven't the chance, maybe when my guys are a little older, I could start studying.
Like you I am a babbler, and get myself into trouble some times. I have been told to lie down as had a wisdom tooth out today, my 3 year old is watching tv, and the others at school for 3 more hours, so took the time to finally play aound on this great network.
As I said,I felt we were very similar and loved reading your page. Beth xxx
Thanks for your invitation. Lets keep in touch, OK.
Have you ever been to one of Barry's concerts? I haven't but I can hardly wait for June 17. Just wish I could meet this incredable(sp?) person. He has been such an inspiration to me and so many others. Would be nice to say Hello to him at the very least.
Take care,
Maureen
