I don't know why this seems to happen, but every time I make arrangements to go to Las Vegas, it is never when Barry is playing at the Hilton. First, I get Shelby home from the vet on Friday 5/30/08, then realize they didn't give me the e-collar. So I leave her with my step daughter & back to the vet I rush to pick it up. Shelby came home with sutures, not staples, and very little swelling. I actually think the incision looks very well, except for a little pinkish color on the knee & leg. Well, it has been 26 days since Shelby, my 8 yrs old black lab mix had surgery to remove a tumor. She is doing great. We did have a visit to the physical therapist a week ago today regarding her torn CCL in her right rear leg. The PT recommended surgery, as did the vet. The surgery is call an extra capsular repair & there is a long 8 week minimum recovery time. So, Shelby is looking at going under the knife again.
